What is 'Extreme Build'

I often meet people who would like to build their own ukulele and who are attracted to the kits but don't quite have the confidence to see it through. Well I have the answer... Come to my workshop and over 2 days we will build the instrument together!

 What can you expect?

Courses are always on Friday and Saturday and offer a great 2 day experience. Under my guiding hand you will produce an instrument every bit as good as those that go out my door and are built by me. You will be provided with a kit that you will assemble over the 2 days leaving you the responsibility to apply a simple finish at home - I show you how to do this and provide you with the finishing materials. I help you through all of the stages of gluing up the body, carving the neck and fretting the fingerboard. By the end of day 1 there is a part assembled ukulele ready for complewtion and set-up on day 2!

 Who can do it?

If you know you are a complete Klutz then I think you'd best buy one of my ready made ukes. However, it follows that anyone over the age of 18 who has a great desire to succeed, who is patient and who can follow instructions will do a great job. I have had a great bunch of students over the last year who have all made killer instruments. Zoe Brett to the left records regularly on YouTube with her Helsinki built uke. Check her out here...

 How much does it cost?

Below is the guide price. You can 'upgrade' or make special request when you enquire about the courses. If I get 3 or more students attending a course there is a 10% discount applied to the course fees below.
