Electric soprano ukulele

The think about uklectic ukulele that I really love is the sheer 'conceit' of it: here is a tiny uke with no soundhole that you can plug into a Marshall stack and blow Wembly Arena away...

As with all of my work, premium woods are used. for sopranos and concerts I use exclusively Spansih Cedar for the body and neck principally for lightness and also because it machines like a dream.

The world is your oyster when it comes to cap wood - called 'drop top'. This little beauty has a 3mm pomelle sapele cap over a small cavity - just enough to fit active peizo electronics if you want them - passive pickups are fitted as standard.

My initial idea for these was as a silent instrument. ALthough very thin, they do have a charming, unplugged, acoustic quality to them that allows you to practise without waking the children or neighbours.

The specifications are the same as my standard sopranos.
